So I pulled out Anacreon just to see what it was like, and I really enjoy it except:
1. There is nowhere that tells you what materials a base planet/transport base/jumpship base needs or what kind of ships it produces.
2. Trade routes (an essential part of the game) are awful. I can't even get a transport to carry one thing one way, and then another thing a different direction, I have to use twice the transports! I would prefer it if that was done away with entirely and just set up the trade routes, and make the civie's use their own ships (or at least have it calculate how many ships I need to assign to my routes and then just create those fleets in the background when I've appropriated the ships)!
However the rest of the gameplay is really nice, kind of like civilization except simpler and for the space age.

The multi player-ness of it is nice too. Me and my brother used to play it all the time. Another problem is the planets they should be in orbital rings like transcendence. Other than that it's a great game.
This is our game. And George is our hero.
