Threads won't open at all any more

I'm just getting 'white-screen html'
Instead of starting with <[!DOCTYPE ..., it will either start with a random string of numbers or
"close
server [IP?]

<[!DOCTYPE ..."

I've cleared cache, cookies, all that stuff, and nothing is fixing it. It seems I can still make threads.
