I'm sure you guys have your reasons for doing it this way, but just a piece of feedback, I think it's kind of outrageously difficult to sign up for an account here on this forum. First you have to sign up, and then you have to find the obscure post that states that you have to email George to ask to be activated. It's probably holding back the community quite a bit is my guess, as I think the vast majority of people would be discouraged by this process.
Also, the same goes for the wiki. While playing through the game, I would look at the wiki and find that there was no entry or only a stub entry for something, but even after I signed up I couldn't edit because I have to wait to be manually activated.

It's because spambots can get past the security measures... if the activation were removed, we'd be flooded with spam.
