Community-submitted content for main site?

Remember how the old site had some community-generated content? (ie, old captian's primer and ship guide)

If it's alright with george, who would be interested in helping to create content for the main site that we can give to george to proof & put on the site?
Some of the stuff is actually on the wiki already, so it would be less of a problem to convert it for use on the main site I would think, as it's already been written

I just recently read this and found it very intriguing. A brief and concise recount of human history. I had a similar idea but using the timescale of modern civilization to the time of transcendence. It basically piggybacks the timeline but puts it into the form of a story. As a bonus, it could be cut up and used in the game for rumours or random story roms.

I also would like to see some more detailed historical texts, like the founding of St Katharines, the plight of the Syrtis Conclave from their perspective after the destruction of Mars.

A nice idea might be to have some personal 'captain's logs' of otherwise unknown pilots that recount some aspect of a major event. ie: A borer pilot recounts being harassed by CW militia for 'protection payments' and watching them be driven off by Arco Vaughn and some centauri. or A mid-level independent merchant reminscing about 'the good ole' days' trading with the Charon confederacy and bringing in huge profits before the CW blocaded the system and criminilized trade with them.

These minor stories could be used to bring an alternative perspective to the universe converse to the propaganda of the CW and give the player pause to consider the motivations and implications of their actions.

We are now at a point that we don't need it officially on the main site, we can post it on the forums or on lets say Xelerus and it would still be read by most of the Transcendence userbase.

I vote if we do it it has to be something fun and humorus!
