I think we need some forum titles. You know, something to go next to our names on the forum.
I hereby nominate josh19967 as "Arch Thread Necromancer"
Forum Titles Nominations
I should be, like, the bot guy or something.
Or maybe just 'official totally useless pathetic excuse for a human being'.

[schilcote] It doesn't have to be good, it just has to not be "wow is that the only thing you could think of" bad

I fourth the idea of titles.
I nominate Wolfy to be called "Laika" (after the first dog in space )
George should be called like "Core Being" or "Greater Mind" or something like that -- he did make the game after all.
What do reckon I should be called?

Late for dinner. What do reckon I should be called?
Titles? Really? Like.. nicknames, ranks and post counts are already too much for this ole forum software to handle, throw in titles and the whole thang might collapse into itself and form a mini black hole that would obviously swallow the earth immediately after forming.
oh, on the other hand, I would like to be given the title The Periculi if it comes down to chancing the blackhole and passing out titles in spite of the obvious phpBB issues with maintaining it's database fundtionality and general questionable ability delivering page builds.
I N+1th the motion.
I've always wanted to see what a black hole is like. It looks nice in the brochures but is that a fair assessment?
Anyway, I would like my title to be "the Prophet" and have it apply recursively into an infinite loop.
Prophet the Prophet the Prophet the Prophet the Prophet the Prophet.

Hi guys
Periculi is right.
It simply insn't possible to do without modifying phpbb2 ourselves, and thus it is MUCH safer to wait until we get smf 2 or phpbb3, which ttech and myself are pushing for.

Ah, but if we can create a singularity with just phpBB2 and some really stupid ideas, we'll have bragging rights *and* a REALLY good excuse to get phpBB3 or SMF2.Wolfy wrote:Hi guys

Seriously, why is this taking so long? There are like a hundred threads around here, which all basically end in you saying:Wolfy wrote:Hi guys

Is it something George has to do, is that why it's taking so long?We need to upgrade to phpbb3.

You are unfortunatly spot-on about that.ThePrivateer wrote:Is it something George has to do, is that why it's taking so long?
He's simply too busy to upgrade the forums.
Ttech and myself are trying to convince him to let us do the upgrades, so he does not need to spend the time doing them himself.
We have yet to hear back on that specific proposal.

These forums are just as important as the game itself- George needs to develop better time management to the entire Transcendence project (including the Forums).
I appreciate that he must have a life outside of Trans, but if he will not allow Wolfy and Ttech to work on the forums, then he really should invest some time to us, to better the forums.
If he can better the forums, all of us - the community - should then be able to better the game in turn.
