Sorry for the horrible problems with the forums. Most of it was my fault for being involved in other issues in-real-life. But there were also some Yahoo problems that took a while to resolve.

Anyway, I've managed to at least upgrade the board to 3.0.8, which gives us a bunch of advantages.

I haven't yet customized the theme for the site--that should happen at some point (suggestions always welcome).

Meanwhile, let me know (in this forum) if there are things that aren't working.

Sorry again and welcome back.

Nice shiny and new. ^^
I'll see what I can do about getting things like the rank icons and investigating the feasability of some of the ... saner  ... feature suggestions that simply were not possible with phpbb2

I'll have TTF running for another week, while we make sure that the forums are stable :D

Just in time!

MY transcendence forum withdrawal symptoms were starting to get pretty bad...

Much better now! Thanks George!

O.o Betlegeuse is back, too?

And George.... please hurry with the custos. If you can't make it look pretty, at LEAST change the color scheme. This blue n white crap is making me nauseous and reminding me of a Mac

I'm seriously glad to see the forums back up and still able to be run. However seeing as it was just updated and converted, now would be the best time to switch to SMF. Through the forum there are posts on why SMF would be easier to maintain, especially because most of the features including upgrades, and security can be controlled through the web interface. Its really your call in the end, but this is just my suggestion.

Yay!

I'm on a smart phone atm, so I'll be back later. Good work george.

As for theme, something cool, but not the old colours do something new, for the new forums.

I have already noticed cool features like file upload etc. can't wait to see full powers of the new board. :D

lol - most modern boards support uploading XD

Though I must say, I prefer having the avatars and whatnot on the left.

... especially given my monitor layout.

Well on a side note, the forum ranks were and are working however they were deleted from the images directory.

Welcome back George, and thanks for bringing the forums with you! :)

You had us all a bit worried there!

Here are some suggestions for dark themes. I think the only one I really like is the first one, Hermes Gray

http://www.phpbb.com/styles/demo/3.0/?style_id=775

http://www.phpbb.com/styles/demo/3.0/?style_id=385
http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/eMuza
http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/eMuza2

Quasar is a really nice light theme, which i think we should also have (a light theme, that is, not necessarily this one)

Thank Domina the forums are back! I admit that I checked multiple times every day to see if they were back!

@alterecco, Hermes Gray looks very cool, how hard is to customize a theme ?

It should not be overly complicated, depending on what you want to do. In the end, it depends on how much time/skill whoever is in charge of the modifications has.
