Send me your save file, if you've still got it.

You must destroy at least 8 Sung fortresses or Sung citadels. In debug mode you can find out how many you destroyed at the console:

(typIncGlobalData 0x08020102 "sungDestroyed")

You can also find out how many Huari you killed:

(typIncGlobalData 0x08020102 "huariDestroyed")

Is there a station rumor or quest hint or anything like that regarding the Huari plotline in the game yet? I think there needs to be one if not.

Were it not for this spoiler thread I can 100% guarantee I would NEVER have found this by myself in the game. Not in 5 more years of playing. The Huari have always shot at me, and I have come to consider them a valuable source of fuel and cash.

From this forum, it sounds like it is fairly difficult to trigger this plotline even if you have read spoilers and pawed through the mission scripts!

I think it is a little too difficult to trigger the storyline right now. And I think there should be some hints.

But I think it's OK if it takes many games to discover this storyline. It is not a required storyline and I think it is something that advanced players should be able to enjoy discovering.

It's also very enjoyable playing again each new game. The way it's set, the player chooses which course to take with the Huari. Kill 'em on sight or befriend them and try to make it to and through the big showdown with them as allies. Awesome!

I used to kill 'em on sight just for the loot (fuel and hopefully a good reactor) but there are also Ventari that offer the same in loot +. So now I try to befriend the Huari and give them a wide berth whenever I encounter them while still as enemies...a nice challenge all in itself.

Now if we could get the Huari to accept our wingmen and autons as allies as well...

I'm not too sure that those systems from Santuary through PJ are critically necessary, as I've encountered both Huari and Sung in the system just past St. K's a couple times, and have managed to get to the Huari temple only after killing 8 Sung bases...by Sanctuary.

Briefing through the Huari xml I did not see any reference to having to "kill Sung" between such systems to trigger the Huari, but did see the "Kill 8" bit. So it appears that all Sung bases killed are counted and when 8 are tallied, Huari turns green and happy with the player. This correct?

Quite frankly, I don't recall seeing any more Sung or Huari at all past Point Juno. That gets to be Ranx and Ares territory pretty quickly.

Anyway, the fact remains that I cleaned out all of the sung stations I found (in the entire game) and couldn't talk to the Huari about how awesome I was.
