Since anubis has been so busy with other stuff IRL, nobody has been working on the XML split recently, so I'm going to make ship graphics instead. (Yeah, I probably should finish the XML splitting, but I'm... too lazy, especially considering that with the new ship-purchasing mechanics in the game that will be released shortly, I don't think I want to invest too much into item balance immediately.)

Major setback; from what I can tell, I've lost the split xml's for TX2 that anubis did; if I can't find them, I'm just going to rewrite the whole thing from scratch.

Well, first module is pretty much done (one minor bug to clean out)

The Centauri Module for TX2 is being released as a public avalaible teaser

a centauri dual ak505 (ballista) - about 24 tons, so the entire ship is built around the weapon
a pair of centauri autoguns (forward facing), very short range
an omnidirectional centauri autogun, very short range
The ship is very slow, shieldless, and has a hard time turning. The ballista shots travel rather slowly too, so it's not too hard to dodge them. The autoguns will push you away if you get too close, but they do nominal damage and have about the range of iocrym repellers; if even that much...

Despite all its weaknesses though, you DO NOT want to get hit by it. BTW - if you can get lucky enough to find an intact dual ballista, and can afford the space, mass and energy it soaks up, then use it! In the hands of a competent player, it's an incredible weapon; basically the kinectic equivalent of the x-ray laser, with base-cracking abilities! [natural average computed damage per salvo is 126 - 163.8DPS; slap on a cannon accelerator, and have fun!]
Considering it's Centauri origins, it's safe to call this a glass cannon; it packs massive punch, but it's unshielded and thus can be blown away.
... Hilarity ensues when you've got at least one of these ships and any other enemies trailing after you!
Anyways, I'm considering lessening the specialization of the hull plate ionizer; it'll have more HP, but be a bit less effective in protecting against kinectic damage, though considering that it's still insanely effective vs. the dual ballista by chopping off 84 damage per salvo... (and that's if you get hit by both projectiles in the first place, unlikely considering you'd be flying a wolfen in all likelyhood)

This reminds me to get on with my mines so I can get onto tweaking the Himal to be a little bit more interesting. I'm thinking of a rapid fire light rocket-pod firing non-explosive shots over a short range........
