The Transcendence Multiverse development kit is provided as a skeleton framework that the transcendence game engine can use to be the starting point for you to make entirely new game content that you can then expand on, make mods for, and develop into a fully featured game universe. It has been extended from the work that alterecco put into the Transcendence Miniature mod in order to create a more robust library of development resources to encourage modders to explore the vast potential of the Transcendence game engine.

Requires the Resources/ folder from an unpacked Transcendence version 1.04. If you have a problem running TransData to unpack the tdb, post here and something to help you will eventually arrive.

Core package is a version of Transcendence XML for the game engine that has had all the stock content stripped out, save for the most very basic image and sound resources, as well as some stock effects. In order to run in the game engine, the Core includes the Transcendence Miniature objects as a module that you can later remove when you have alternate versions of the minimum requirements to load and run the core.

To get started creating a new Transcendence Universe, simply create new modules and add in elements from the Transcendence game resources, organizing the UNID and file structure to suit your needs.

http://xelerus.de/index.php?s=mod&id=860

First version of the core is available on Xelerus and is intended for version 1.04 of Transcendence.

There will be additional plug-in modules for the core package, including a tutorial module with primitive elements that will help you discover the multitude of objects that can be created for the game engine and get you started defining your own.

Nice work Periculi - I saw this the other day but haven't tried it yet. You're taking this one step further from just creating adventures to now creating a whole new universe.

Good work! :D

Must. Study. Later!

Seriously, this is interesting. Just the kind of stuff I like. I don't have time to look at it right now, but I look forward to seeing what you have pulled out of your hat this time.

I can probably rip some functionality modules in TSB (ie, the strategic/tactical AI's and various other scripts) for use as plugins here.

That would be really cool, Wolfy. It would be fun to see some script modules and other plug-in type resources from the community to fill out the options.

Sweet work, always great to start somewhere, what we need now is a Programming Transcendence Book. I'm up for it. :D
