Alone, in space. Pondering on where to go, you make a fateful decision: you gate to the next system. In a galaxy that is different every time you play it, to whom will you call for help? Every step is a mystery, and behind every gate is a puzzle waiting to be solved. To which stargate takes you to the Core? The only answer is to jump across the next stargate and find out.

Uncharted is Network Plus, but this time, the layout of all systems are procedurally generated. This means more weight to every decision and a more flexible topology to accomodate for stranger and more unknown topologies.

Needs 1.08j to work.

Features:

-Set the amount of total nodes in Settings.xml

-Randomized topology (there is /always/ a way to Heretic though)

Tested compatibility with:

-WE5

-System Density

-Dynamic Systems

-Visible Damage
Doumentation on Settings.xml:
There are currently 5 "levels":
New Beyond
St. Katharine's
UnGoverned
Outer Realm
Outer Realm, Heretic

The default for each level is 4 (more or less). That means that there could be ~20-30 nodes in the game, as is Vanilla. You could try to have 14 nodes per level, but then you get this:

Using 108k:

I started a game with 6 nodes. At Eridani I had a gate to Rigel.

It's a network. As such, you can get a gate from Eridani to Rigel if the RNG wants, but that's not big of a deal (this isn't Vanilla).
If I did, I'd have to find a way to sequentially order all the gates, which defeats the whole point of a network.

Btw, since this isn't vanilla, please scout a system first. Some may have tech levels higher than others, and I can't guarantee players will have smooth sailing to Heretic.
(the gap change for any system is +/- 2 levels, so players shouldn't encounter Teratons before St. Kat's if you're thinking that).

Updated at 45 downloads. St. Katharine's Star generates normally now, and I added a Galactic Map rom that is basically a clone of the System Map rom. (so players can find then at fuel depots) :D

Doesn't that entirely defeat the purpose of the St. Kats university mission?
Yeah, I guess you do, I found it practically impossible to even find st. kats while playing the network without cheating that is...

Yes it does FourFire. If you don't like it just don't use it. I want to do a ~130 node game like in Network, so I absolutely need the map so I don't get lost >.>

So I have been playing with the mod. 25 nodes.

Currently have stargates from Eridani to St. kits. From St. Kits to Charon From Charon to Sanctuary. Don't know about gates at Sanctuary.

Trying to upload alien tech from the planet's surface at St. kits freezes the game.

Can you give me your dbglog?

I don't have the debug log unfortunately. It was deleted. I do have the save game.

I have tried to attach the file but get extension sav (or when changed to anything else) is not allowed.

I'll try what you did.
As for the save game, you have to zip it first, then upload.
What mods are you running btw?

Ok, I was able to buy some food, I guess it might be a mod you have. (or maybe a weird mod conflict? I've noticed Repair Droids doesn't work anymore :( )

Reuploaded at 72 downloads. Fixed the issue where Vanilla nodes from different clusters would connect (like Eridani => St. Kat's) but left the intracluster (Eridani => Rigel) connections possible. Also fixed the NodeIDs so that the Taikon mission DS in St. Kat's works properly. Apparently the mission reveals nodes on the Galactic Map so it's still a useful mission to take.

I'll try to see what I can do about Charon, but it'll be complicated :/
