Yeah, 'Trading Imperium' only has one world left.
'Greater Realm' still has 6 worlds and is in a little dark nebula just south of my capital.
'Old League' has 7 worlds and is south west of my capital.

It would be great to do some controlled combat tests between fleets to get a better understanding of how the different ship types and defenses perform against one another. I haven't had time to play for the past week and I suspect that the southern half of my empire is falling apart; you could set up an arena there if you like.

There is a small pocket of free worlds on the Dogeland/Nor border. I recently set up a sector capital there, but we could use that since it is a couple of low-population planets in an enclosed space (by nebulae).

Riproviamo, who I believe is a member of this organization, thought it wise to acquire one of the neutral planets in the ruins of what was once one of my more productive clusters as a sector capital . It was a neutral planet because the Commonwealth is no more, after invading my unarmed farming and mining planets. I was in the mindset of shooting looters on sight, however my population objected to conquering more planets than just Unaltravolta. According to the charta of this pact I am now expecting visits from your fleets. I am looking forward to this since this will allay the concerns of my population about excessive violence. In case you want to pursue another strategy than trying to starve my population, you can find my main fleet at Sinalost.
I knew Lord Bismalia as a wise lord, and of course he feel himself strong (cause he is the strongest) but he attacked for first without a good reason a weaker peaceful lord with the only aim of challenge us. Waiting for a official decision of the guild I want to expres my personal desagreament for his behavior and philosophy

Your threats are uncalled for, Lord Bismalia. Please leave Riproviamo alone before we all have regrets.

No good reason for an attack? Riproviamo took advantage of an unprovoked attack on me by the Commonwealth (you wont find it on the map anymore). Taking a planet that was mine for longer than Riproviamo exists, and was only neutral for less than a day and in the middle of my cluster was a bold move.
However the main reason for the attack was indeed to challenge your guild. The way your rules are written, encourages such boldness in your members. They can do anything short of a direct attack and still be guaranteed the solidarity of your guild through your rules. Now I am curious how exactly you will stick to your counterattack rule? And if you will, will all of you attack? Even those who don't really have a chance?

Bismalia, you have a planet literally right next to my capital and I've never complained about it.

Lord Bismalia, you speak as one who has never gone to war. You haven't felt what soldiers feel, what makes them ready to die for their country. We not afraid. None of us are. There are far more of us together and if you kill us, we'll all rejoin immediately and get a few thousand space forces to immediately fight back. We don't care if we don't stand a chance; a few losses for the greater good are well worth the price.

Hallucination (right?): that planet was a productive part of your empire for a hundred cycles before I took it?Watch TV, Do Nothing wrote:Bismalia, you have a planet literally right next to my capital and I've never complained about it.
Besides that, the creation of your empire and its expansion along the border of my cluster has crossed a lot of my plans, since most of these planets including your capital are in reach of my trade networks. The plan was to add them as soon as the basic economy stabilizes and I had a good estimate for its capacity. Then I would have added planets until everything balances out. Now I didn't complain either, I was just not fast enough so those planets are yours. Those you did not take fast enough, I took. Seems fair to me.
Now that doesn't quite compare to taking advantage of an attack on my unarmed planets by a third party.
Yes I have no doubt that you can win this war, together your fleet strength is probably equal or not far below mine, and most of my planets are undefended so that even your weakest member can do some damage. The starvation strategy you describe in the beginning of your threat should work very well on me, because I chose to concentrate my defenses at the sector capitals.catfighter wrote: Lord Bismalia, you speak as one who has never gone to war. Well you probably don't know how it feels to loose 30 planets to an enemy, ten more to rebellion because of starvation while having ten million jumpships. Makes you twitchy. Especially if you can't retake all the planets without complications because some member of a large guild with rules for unconditional counterattack took one of them.catfighter wrote: Lord Bismalia, you speak as one who has never gone to war. Well I lost two to attack and 12 to rebellion. Oh yeah, and not to mention, somebody killed me in a previous empire and much to my chagrin I still have not found out who it was!pirx wrote:Well you probably don't know how it feels to loose 30 planets to an enemy, ten more to rebellion because of starvation while having ten million jumpships.
