the only NAMI stations I ever saw were the ones I made ( for 1.01 )erik dela cruz wrote:I'll check this out tonight but my question is: will I possibly find the NAMI Manufacturing plant here. Is it a random station? I only saw it once in my earliest game in 101 but in the succeeding games (or versions) no more.
but arms dealers can stock up with random weapons and you might have met one that stocked alot of NAMI material by chance.

I'm completely positive about this. Yes it was in 1.01 and yes there was a Makayev and a Rasiemesser AND A NAMI Manufacturing plant. No it was a vanilla game. I have not joined the forum back then (it was just early this year). Sadly I did not finish the game.shanejfilomena wrote:the only NAMI stations I ever saw were the ones I made ( for 1.01 )erik dela cruz wrote:I'll check this out tonight but my question is: will I possibly find the NAMI Manufacturing plant here. ...that's why I joined the forum to learn more about T.
As for 1.06a. I'm resting in St.K. I'm amazed on how fast Hiro's shield optimizer optimized my Class V shield. I plug it then it's done.100hp to 150hp in a flash. Awesome.

LOL : all this time I never understood the Class 5 shield : until I put on a freighter in testing Corporate Contracts.
that is an awesome shield...too awesome, I could not use it because the freighters were not dying ( yikes ).
------------
a search of the 1.01 database file only shows NAMI weapons.....but it is possible it was a version I lost, I have 1.01 ( official download), 1.05, 1.06, 1.06a. there were several other versions between the 1.0 and 1.05 I no longer have due a computer problem.
I have the resources for 99c and 99b ,1.0,1.02,1.03 : nothing found.
(I seriously thought I missed something)......but I can not find it, nor can my Notepd++
--------------------------------------
but there is a regular arms dealer: it stocks random stuff to cover the many items the specific dealers do not.

There are no changes to mining in this version (at least no new devices or altered devices) right?
Just hat a chance to try the ICX missile defense and the longreach autocannon but didnt notice any changes.
I read some 'auto defense device' would now be able to target asteroid. But I didnt see anything in the xml either.

The target asteroid (as well as enemy ships) ability is currently for mods, but I don't think anybody has fiddled with those effects yet, sadly.

you mean the ability to actually target an asteriod.....not just ships / stations?RPC wrote:The target asteroid (as well as enemy ships) ability is currently for mods, but I don't think anybody has fiddled with those effects yet, sadly.
you realize how annoying that will get ? mining systems are not omni-directional....targeting an asteroid is pointless.

Its for automining turrets, and he means target as in the <autodefensedevice> item type can target it, not as in it will show up on your targeting display

Played a little with the <AutoDefensedevice /> - which was added in 1.05 btw - and will share my findings with it in the mining rework thread.
Guess I should have reported it here. My bad...
I still cannot DL 1.06a. It gets as far as 484kb and quits. I'm still on dial-up and cannot get DSL or Sat, so those are NOT an option. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! Saw your activation this morning, but I was just about to leave for work so I didn't get a chance to say hi
If that upload does not work, I can put up a series of split archives.

Thanks, George. I'm glad to be back after a long-standing bout with my old ISP, I'm now on a new one and hopefully will be around for a good long while. Got plenty of catching up to do!george moromisato wrote: Welcome back!

George, I need help! I'm about to finish playing this (vanilla) but I was not able to acquire the LLighter prototype. I shoulda saved the bridge screen in Point Juno (but this laptop is giving me a headache) that gave a "Nil" message after I intercepted incoming Ares fleet.
I mean I docked again to report to the bridge but instead I got the above mentioned message. I spoke with the commander before hand and she gave the orders and I was done with the mission, I came back to report and, there. No Europa armory code, no nothing.
Does it have something to do with my rank? I entered Point Juno as Fleet Commander but I believe it's not an NCO or junior officer rank, am I right? But then why would the guards allow me to enter if it's not so?
So I continued and found both CSC Terra and Antarctica in the same system and wet for it, destroying the latter and when I entered the brige of Decker found him talking to his XO about the missing prototype. I went staight back to PJ and still the bridge message is the same. Was it my mistake? If this is a bug then why did it not crash? What to I need to submit to fix this, if needed?
