Hmm... Well I changed the Therriusians a bit...
I'll probably have pics of their smallest ship by the end of this weekend.
ATM- I'm working on a galactic map of the quarantined earth-space and the surrounding areas.

A plasma weapon, a high-level energy weapon, 3 vulcan series weapons.

thanks!evilbob wrote:nice work! looks better than my stuff.
(I think your custom weapon device images look really neat though. Also, I really like your pirate ships and that alien ship as well in your other thread)
I also added in a quick description
Long description:
The ranx cruiser might not be the deadliest ship out there, but it's not exactly something you'd want to anger. The ranx cruiser is nicely armed and like any ranx ship, very hard to kill with matter weapons (kinetic, blast or thermo- Fighting this ship with a kinetic weapon is sure suicide). It is relatively vulnerable to particle and ion weapons, though it can (somewhat) still outmatch an earth slaver. Although capital ships might fare better against it, fighters will easily die to its short range mass-drivers.
This ship can outmatch the warlords' destroyers (they are outfitted as more of anti-fighter ships), though it is still inferior to their battlecruisers (basically the old style dreadnought for the ranx warlords).

Crate ship:

Weapons: light recoiless
Pretty sad ship huh? Well, it's used by the lowest of the low in CW society- often by those living in slums often working as small-time traders. A pretty common sight in St.k's- some gangs use them too, but they prey on eachother (mostly).
Such a cheap ship is often made from an abandoned Antares cargo container. Think of them as hornets, but with kinetic weapons, and less speed. They often have some VERY cheap cargo to loot- a waste of fuel.
Civilians can be seen running about from station to station, trading- since they don't have an actual home station, killing them won't cause any problems (*cough**cough*crossfire*cough**cough*)- pirating them would be a waste of time.
Gangs will usually wander around the system looking for something to kill (though usually they end up dead).

big crate ship

Weapons: 1x omni light-recoilless
Also a cheap ship for the poor of the commonwealth, it too sees similar uses as the smaller crate ship.
Occasionally a marauding gang will use one of these ships as their come base.

Kineticore MkII

in-game desc: The Kineticore MkII Assualt Fighter is the revised version of its predecesor. Boasting superior capacity for both armor and cargo, the trade off is one less weapon slot on the ship. Like the MkI, the MkII has a fixed number of weapon and non-weapon slots

I increased the size of the image, but the ship itself is still pretty much the same (I found that with the smaller canvas size, a bit of the wing tip was cut off at 90 and 270 degrees)

Heliotrope harvesters
Smaller

Bigger

These ships for the most part orbit around heliotrope stations or wander about the system. Though they might have great loot (lots of heliotrope fuel), they tend to be well gaurded. The smaller variant has only an omni blinder, the larger variant has a pair of turbos and blinders, but has a pair of blind spots directly to it's sides.

I'm lovin' it. Looking forward to this stuff, Wolfy. I am especially looking forward to the heliotrope stuff; I am a heliotrope freak. That Kineticore MkII looks awesome; love the colors. Keep up the great work!

Look for my heliotrope harvester/cruiser to appear sometime in the next few days.Branden wrote:I'm lovin' it. Looking forward to this stuff, Wolfy. Well, a bit faster than I expected:

The harvester/cruiser
Packing Heliotrope Corona shields (very good vs. energy weapons, mediocre vs. kinetic, poor vs. blast/thermo*/plasma*), and four solar flare cannons, this ship is not one you want to anger. Fortunately for those whom have blast weapons, you should be able to cut through the shields then blast away the weak solar armor. Should you kill one however, there will be a massive amount of heliotrope fuel. You might even get lucky and find an intact heliotrope reactor.**
*Not that you'd come across these types of weapons this early, except maybe a launcher or vulcan cannon.
**part of my quest to put a reactor in every ship. Some factions will have their own specific reactor lines, like the heliotropes for instance.
[edit]
It seems stupidly powerful atm... I think it has something to do with having 4 flare cannons... I'll probably reduce the firing rate or weaken the shield...
