I know everyone (except Drako) is probably getting sick of my infatuation with this mod but I just went through like ten systems in one sitting and have two words to say:

DOUBLE SYSTEMS!!!!!!!! :D

Huzzah! I was soooooooo annoyed in post 1.01 versions when double-systems just vanished. My very happy memories of .99d when I first played the game stick with me and double systems thrilled me -- one system, but two suns and twice the amount of stations and enemies!

So, yet again : Well done Drako! :D

Binary systems have disappeared from vanilla?? That is news to me.

Not intentionally--if true, it's definitely a bug.

Binary systems still exist; I had one on my recent 1.04 playthrough.

I just added a higher likelihood that they would appear because I feel that they fit well as tri-stargate systems.

I got an idea today and I have been trying to figure out whether to use it or not. My idea is to create a number of systems containing battles between rivaling factions. For example, near Jaing's star there would be a system with fleets of sung acting aggressively, and fleets of Huari on the defensive. I was also thinking of having an Abayssid vs. Urak (obviously Uraks attacking the stations, because Abayssids have no ships) and a system in the later game of Ares vs. Commonwealth and then a very late game (near heretic) of Ringers vs. some faction. I can't think of someone for the Ringers to fight. (perhaps an Iocrym research base they found?

Anyway, I've been on the fence about whether or not to use them. I think that they will enrich the game, but I am worried it may make the game seem crowded, and too expanded. I can't decide at all. What do you think? I need some feedback on this.

Please yes! I *love* space battles -- it makes the game feel alive and not like you're all alone in the universe. Point Juno is a great part of the game -- even the odd pirate ship fighting the Korolov is fantastic, so please put these encounters in the game! :D

I haven't seen Binary systems in ages...how low is the chance? Too low obviously...I've gone right through to Heretic a few times now and seen no Binary system.

I'm not sure that means it's too low. Binaries being a rare and surprising occurrence adds to the fun of getting one I think. Oh, the chance is somewhere around 10% per system by the way. It's a bit hard to calculate.

Some systems have a chance to be binary. Not all of them. There is no guaranteed binary in the vanilla game.

Does anyone have any ideas for a pre-St. Kats battle I could do? I though of Urak vs. Abbaysid, (I heard somewhere that they were enemies I think) but with no ships the Abbaysids would be boring. Anyone have any Ideas?

I was thinking maybe one just a few systems after Eridani (like 2-3) where charon pirates are fighting Commonwealth. Get some Frigates in there please! :D

Sounds good.
Also, I finished a Huari vs. Sung system template. It is terrific fun to use a mod witch makes everyone your friend so you can observe. I am quite amazed how well George has created the ships to their fighting styles. Huari are excellent patrolling, and Sung are great at attacking.

I think I'm fine. I prefer to use the vanilla images. I will look through an see if there's anything I want to use though. Thanks for the tip. :)
