best armor?
I picked up Carbide Carapace pretty early in the game (by St. K) and have added ion protection to it. I remember when I played in earlier versions that seemed to be about the best armor. Now, though, I'm seeing some new armor that looks at least as good. What's your experience?
When I look up the code, heavy ithalium is the best armor because it has some plasma resstance.
Otherwise I think the Iocream is the only one that threatens you with plasma damage hence you might only use this armor once.
Octocarbide has better resistances against ion and positron which the ares use most but versus thermo damage of e.g. nukes, diamond lattice is a bit better.
Although, heavy ithalium has good resistance to thermo, too.
Carbide Carapace cannot be compared with those L10 armors as it is definitively weaker in hp and resistance.
P.S. worldship armor is the best "armor" !!! ^^

What do you think about the endless stream of spawns ?

I remember back in v. 0.9 or so when I first discovered worldship armor. Back in those days it took me all the way to Heretic (probably still can but I worry about Ventari). It's no wonder that the worldship can hold it's own in a lot of battles I see it in (against Ares mainly)
