Ship appearences (fav, best modeled, ugliest, most original)

Location: At the VSS Shipyards in the frontier, designing new ships.

What ship would you nominate for each of these categories?

My favorite would probably be the ranx dreadnought- face it- everyone loves that ship (except when it's chasing after you... than everyone hates it) :lol:

I'd probably nominate one of the newest freighters for best-modeled (an Antares class, probably class V... or maybe class I)

As for ugliest... Well, I'm not sure if it really counts, but the OoP's gunship (the short, stubby, round one...) keeps making me think of evil mustaches chasing after me... :? More of the silliest than ugliest though.

The most original would probably be... I dunno... I'll have to think about that.

My favorite playership would be the original freighter. Favorite AI ship, the Centurion and X. There's just something about that ship that's so cool.
A close second would be the Molotok Bounty Hunter and for mod ships, D6's Molotok Smuggler.

Best modeled...this is tough since there's a lot of excellence put into them.

Ugliest...probably that big red ship that's not in the game but you can see it in the intro/launch screen where they take turns fighting.

Most original... Definitely the Luminous Drone. Its crazy shields, the way it has to turn to fight and that Ion cannon w/over rated power useage for such a small boost of damage rating. And the ability to spawn to defend against whatever damage-type that killed the last one.

How 'bout the most scariest? Ares Dread!!! :shock:

going just on looks

fav: Worldship a ship seems like a worldship. It conveys what it is the best. (even better than the new freighters imo) honorable mention to the lumious drones

best modeled: Wind slaver, nice and simple and it works best in action working great with its circling.

ugliest: Any of the rectangle ships.

most original: Ferians, they remind me of ants (I know that is an odd thing to say in the most original category but this is a space game.)

fav : freighters! all of them! from the ugly silver box (original freighter) to the antares V. :D

best modeled: the new centauri ships are very good.

ugliest: Iocrym, that big blue box needs a restyling.

most original: Ferians probably, but, where are the Teratons ships? :roll:

My favorite ship has to be the Worldship. I made it playable so I could fully appreciate it. I also think it is rendered very well. Ranx dread is a very close second. Played that one too. I also like the Dragon Slaver and the Corporate Cruiser.

Worst has to go to the Iocrym command ship. The colour and texture is horrible and does not portray the awe that the Iocrym should deserve. The Penitent ships aren't that great either.

Most original, I have to agree, goes to the ferians. Although the Gaian Processors are unique in that they are mobile starbases.

well the CSCs are star carriers where as the Gaian processors are (from what I understand) a completely self sufficient mobile colony. They find a planet and suck up it's natural resources and atmosphere and move on. The CSCs are purely military installations that rely on supplies from other sources.

Favorite ship: NCC-1701E (The Enterprise ship from Xelerus)

Best Modelled: Luminous Drone (Or whatever those ships are called)

Worst Looking: Spathi Ship from Xelerus Downloads

Most Original: Original Freighter

Has anyone ever used the Spathi ship? It resembles a science diagram of a molecular structure gone wrong; no offense meant to its designer. :lol:

best modelled : dunno, all ship is cool, but i'll say Commonwealth Star Carrier (CSC)

Ugliest : Iocrym destroyer ( looks like a blue refrigerator :wink: )

original : i dunno... :roll: maybe that wolven fightership....

note:
try to use that NCC-1701E, you will finish the whole story in a day :D
