Is it posable to make docking selectable. When there are many station, objects and wrecked ships too close together, it may take some time to dock with what you wish to dock with. Once I could not dock at a station at all, because of this. Why not make docking selectable or make a limit as to how close the stations can be together.

Also, make a salvage ship or a weapon that can get rid of wrecks in a system. After a while there can be enough wrecks around a station to make that station undockable. And star systems can also get quite cluttered after a while. Maybe use the salvage ships you already have in the game to not only take cargo, but remove the ship. Or use the mining lazor to turn the ship into slag to sell. Or both.

If you had a targeting ROM, press [F] . That selects something. Press [D] to dock onto them. Akans and most missiles/projectile weapons can destroy wrecks. Any WMD weapons.

Welcome to the forums Arean Dar.

Various weapons can destroy wrecks. Akans are good but use ammunition. You can also use flensers, dual flensers, tritium cannons and probably most blast weapons. Early on, you can just push wrecks around using a recoilless cannon or other kinetic weapon. That works fine in getting a dead ship away from a station.

Marauder platforms create a gorgeous exposion when clipped a dozen times with a tritium. .

Its worth learning where the docking points are on certain stations, once you get the hang of it, docking is not too hard even without the targetting ROM

Ringers and Tailkon need to have something to blow up wreaks that are *on top of* the station. Once a gunport is clogged with a wreak, the station cannot defend itself (or me, but that's not the point).

Perhaps it could be changed so all weapons can blow up wrecks. It might take forever with a laser cannon, but if one was patient enough, it might finally break apart.

Seems realistic to me, it wouldn't unbalance the game, and would solve the clogged gunport issue.

What about a device that adds WMD damage to the fireing weapon(s)?

But it should be exclusive to stations only... or?

Give every weapon a WMD value or just pretend that they do for the purposes of wrecks only? Would "fake WMD" weapons still produce debris when striking a wreck?

If you can DESTROY a ship with a weapon without WMD (ie. Laser), why couldn't you destroy a wreck? While I don't think Lasers need to be doing bonus damage against stations, allowing them to destroy wrecks only makes sense.
