It would be pretty neat to allow mods and at the very least aventure topology to generate systems dynamically leading up to the final system. It would really create a dynamic universe especially good for post -heretic or pre-heretic if you have hidden gates.
Using loops and a list generate a system and content would be very useful for those circumstance

some random thoughts
Would like to create a new system.
Would like to add to system via functions, planets, stars, stations.
Would like to erase a system.
Would like to save the state of a system and be able to restore that at a later time.
Would like to alter that system state via functions.

Most importatly we'd like to add a new node, which is pretty much what betel meant by creating a system, though being able to force system-gen to place planets stations & ships would also be nice as a sepparate function

Yeah, but no mods are currently in need of regenerating. Would be nice to have though for the future.
