FourFire: I have a mod idea!
FourFire: instead of borking around with friendly fire code and all that, just measure a ratio of friendly VS enemy ships (to a given faction) killed by the player
FourFire: so if there's a big battle around a station, and you kill say 8 ships, but you accidentally blow up one of the defenders, they take your enemy kills into consideration before attacking you for stupid misfires
FourFire: that way you can't indiscriminately shoot down friendlies either
FourFire: also, the ratio resets upon gating
FourFire: so you can't "save up" lots of kills in say charon, and then freely kill 20 friendlies in St. Kats.
FourFire: what do you think RPC?

RPC: FourFire, write it down on forums but it's doable since we have anger as a staton property now
for finer grained control you could have different ratios for different factions and ships: say for example Military ships would have a lower threshold (it takes more to kill a military ship, and you're supposed to be a trained military pilot)
