Hi,
I'm sure there are other people here who are avid star gazers here. That is probably why I liked this game so much. :)
I know that George is too. :)

I was wondering if we'd trade stores about what we see. What we capture etc? What do you think?
As for me I'd say Stellarlilum & Celestia are the best apps for Star GAzing use

I used to live close to an observatory, seen all of the planets except pluto, a lunar eclipse, a few asteroids, comets, clusters etc...
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I took a USB webcam and stuck it on the end of a telescope. I could send a live feed of it to anyone during something interesting. It was pretty cool, but both the telescope and webcam were cheap.

By the way, I read a magazine called Maximum PC (Yes, I'm a total n3rd)
It's really helpful for finding cool programs, because without it I would never have found Transcendence!

yes, that would be cool. How would you do it live thoguh?

I did the same thing BTW, love that issue, it was about RAID stuff .
I think I own anyone with magazines. :P I have PC World, PC Mag, Computer World, Information Week, EWeek, Maximum PC, and CQ (Ham Radio Magazine [I'm a Ham Operator]). :)

Stills, live, video, etc? We could setup a site, forum, or something, or just keep it here, and post offsite. Let me know if more poeple are interestied. I'll see about setting something up.

Yes, it was in the November 2007 issue: Heal and Innoculate Your PC. Why? Was it used without permission?

No permission is necessary for reviews and commentary (it's all "fair use"). Even including copies of the game is allowed by the license (the Readme allows distribution). In any case, I don't mind the publicity.

But I hadn't seen the mention before, so I was just trying to track it down.

Thanks for mentioning it.

yeah, its there. :P It was more along the lines of a little side note but the cd had a lot more info on it about the game. :P I didn't have a clue how to play, though. :P Till much later.

the only reason I learned about Transcendance is because my dad has possibly every issue of Max PC, like Zephyr said.

yeah it was just last year.

is that on topic? both George and Xepher were off-topic, so don't hit me.
