Actually it would be kind of cool to have a Transcendence modding contest. We could put restrictions such as "mods must not conflict with other mods" (i.e. add a new playership but one that won't conflict) and "mods should add to the game but not upset game balance too much". We could put instructions at the top of the thread on how to install the mods (i.e. everyone would design their mod to be installed the same way to prevent confusion by newer players). These rules would also make it easy for someone to install all contest mods at the same time.

Plus, we could see what everyone has to offer and give people an added incentive to play the game.

The mod app is one that allows you to make mods using a windows app.
