What is the missileSpeed of a beam weapon?
What does it mean when it says missileSpeed="20-30"?
also bonus question what is lifetime measured in?

Bobby is right.
100 = light speed
Any attribute that accepts a "dice range" (e.g., 1d6) also accepts a straight range (1-6). Sometimes, if you don't need a bell-shape distribution, a range is easier.
For weapons, lifetime is in ticks

Yes, that's true. Unfortunately, some time values are in "game seconds" which is a half tick. I really think many of those should be changed to ticks...Betelgeuse wrote:thanks wasn't sure because some things are in "half ticks"

So if there isn't a missileSpeed listed in a weapon (laser cannon has no missileSpeed attribute) it is assumed as 100?
Hmm... I am building a calender function and event manager and was just using the ticks and thinking of using unvGetTicks as a source for the calculations for hour/day/month, is there already a built in calender that I missed somewhere that I can access instead?
