I was was wondering...
1. If you could make a new currency for transcendence.
2. Could you make a star a high-tech, uh "Core-mind" station and disguise it as a star?
Star stations
for 1, yes you could, it may be a lot of work, look at rins for an example and use those methods(but change "rins" to whatever currency you want)
EDIT: you can make any station look like a star, but it won't glow. i have never tried giveing a star a dockscreen, but i would expect it to stop producing light and show up as a dot on radar...
you could also make it LOOK like the star is a station, place an oncreate event on the star that creates another station(with really small image that blends in) at it's location.

how do you know it is there? probably the best idea is for the station to be a star until you know that it is there, and then replace it with a station. I don't know how to do this, but that is how it would have to be done.
until you can describe a situation in which it can be discovered, it will be impossible for *anyone* to code. You can't just code "something cool", you have to have a very specific idea.

Oh! I know what you want! Something like:
Make a station sized graphic shape from one of the Star textures (and a mask). This will be the hidden station- it will look like the star it is textured from.
Set up a Star that has the station in close enough orbit of the star that it is actually inside the perimeter of the star graphic (which is then hidden by the graphics match) You might need to play around with the settings for this, but it should eventually work out.
You can set up a custom system and place the new star with 'hidden' station in it.
You can 'find' the station with the targetting computer unless you make it like an inert object.
If you want to have it de-cloak at some time, create a station that represents the visible version and switch it with the chameleon.

well.. then maybe the star could swap it's state. Maybe you need a certain bit of info and a scanning device, once obtained and used in the proper system the star itself could switch to an active station with some kind of stealthy mind rays projecting into your brain and attaching a neural pattern from the Core Minds into your own that allowed you to see the docking port.
Finally some knows what I want.Periculi wrote:Oh! I know what you want! Something like:
