here they are- ringer ship is untextured though and missing transparency...
solarite ship has a bug in the mask causing it to be slightly translucent. that's why it looks a little washed out

i'm trying to finish all the stuff first (hopfully .99 comes out soon- I've been setting up a topo for that...)
reason for that is since some things do not function yet and thus those items can cause crashes. Also, one of my custom dockscreens is bugged- i'm going to have to rewrite that sometime...

ok, well, since you asked for it, i'll see if i can finish the solarites by the sunday after tomm. (i'll be gone tomm. and the day after that)

working on those now. expect them by the end of today. pm me your email or something...

[edit]- as to the mod itself- all the NPC ships have 20 facings and the upcoming playerships (which will be left as surprises) will have 40, just like George's

solarite transport

unlike the other transports (the maraduars drake, the sungs transport and the ares polar) these are actually pretty hard to kill (especially since all the solarite missions throw huge swarms of solarite ships against you)

loadout:
-3x light shell cannons
-1x mark V howtzer (thus you should never fly in the middle of a swarm of these transports)
-1x lancer cannon
-Yoroi S500 (temporary)
-Adv Ceralloy Armor (temporary)

wait till you see their superweapon (it only appears once though in the Sol system when they attack earth. It's going to be quite a bit more feirce than even the iocrym (since I doubt the iocrym ship has an entire assualt fleet with it :twisted: )) the superweapon will have a 512x512 image. There will be an Azarian ship as well of comparable size with an equally interesting weapon, but that's a whole different story :D

The Iocrym should have a small assault fleet with it. It makes sense and would make the battle more interesting.

it's logical from the strategic and tactical senses, however, it doesn't seem to fit with the story line too well. The iocrym command ship is supposed to be this sole, final, immenent boss-style ship at the end of human space, though "command ship" DOES suggest otherwise. I think a change of name may be in place.

OH! I know, how about having the iocrym command ship act as a carrier capable of spitting out smaller iocrym drones and fighters!

Not difficult to mod and its good behavior for a boss. The fighters should be very offense-oriented to balance out the defense-oriented command ship. I know this has been suggested before though, so I wonder what George thinks on this...

the federation frigate- the celene planetary federation's version of a centurion.
it has phasers too! (from startrek) (i'm planning on adding in a hidden easter egg SOS rom that call's in a ship named "enterprise" :lol:

phasers come a a variety of colors indicating their power:
lowest to greatest
teal (light defence), red&red-orange (basic), yellow(civilian high-yeild), light orange (heavy), green (high-end capital ships)

here is a progress report in terms of custom sounds and ships. care to make guesses? :D
