My 1M/i auton got radioactive. Later, the machine *died* because of this.

How is this a bug? Sounds like appropriate behavior to me.

Maybe because it's inorganic? I don't know. Radiation could affect an AI depending on the technology used.

Radiation at levels that would kill a human in 3 hours (the 180 seconds you get in the game multiplied by 60) would definitely do serious harm to an unshielded computer. I think the computer would quit working long before the person.

Your computer would also degrade naturally over the course of several years if it wasn't completely and utterly sealed off with protective measures from the rest of the ship.
