Shipping station escort mission is highly bugged.

Sometimes the freighter just moves circle around and not able to back to the shipping station, and this happens frequently for me. Any ideas?

Are there any docking bays open? I haven't seen this bug, but I have seen freighters circling and waiting for an opening.

Nop, they circle nowhere near any stations. I know they do similar act near the station if docking space is full, but this is different issue.

I am saving my save files to attach here.

I have the same problem.

It seems like it can't rotate fast enough to align itself with the station. It pushes full throttle and rotating at the same time. But the rotation isn't fast enough to put it in a straight line with the station.

The problem solves itself, if you wait long enough. At one point the ship will be lucky to pass close enough to the station to dock...

I had the same problem. The freigther was heading for the gate. Then he started to circle ... and two waves of corsairs came >_<
Then he got afraid and came back on line but then at last, a second missle hit him ... :-/

What do you think about the endless stream of spawns ?

What about modding wandering spawns which dont attack the player directly ?

The aruchos transport in the CSC mission (such as deliver supplies or rescue scientists) has this bug where it takes a VERY lengthy and winding course once it gets within the range of say, a laser cannon of the CSC it's supposed to dock with. It'll go back and forth and eventually dock, but after a stupidly long time. Sometimes it gets stuck going in circles...

I had a similar bug happen to me. The first freighter that I was suppose to escort was so fast I could hardly keep up with it, then it circled around the station that it was supposed to dock at. I gave it some time, did some other things for a while, but it still did not dock. I finally got tired of waiting and shot it down. Looted it and tried to take a new escort mission. My record was so bad that I could not take any more missions. Tuff luck. This problem might be corrected in the newest version seeing as how the AI is supposed to be corrected.

if any freighter is destroyed by your shot, then you are blacklisted, you need to get someone else to blow it up for you (but you can damage it all you like).
