Do you think that the new background for the dockscreen is a bit too noisy ?
No problem
Here you can find 2 new dockscreen background images, the first is a low noise image, the second is a fancy hexagon tiled background !

what ? noooUmm... I downloaded, and they're just big, black rectangles.

the first one has a very subtle horizontal scanlines, and the lower right corner with the page curl.
the second has more evident hexagons.
Upon closer inspection, they're exactly the same image
I'll try downloading it again.
Edit: Yup, same file size and resolution. Two big, black rectangles with half-spheres in the corner. Did you accidentally zip two of the same image?

ehm, i use insane brightness on my monitor sometimes
but the images are colored using the color picker on the original background, so, it's exact the same color as the original background.
However nobody is forced to use them

You must have a heck of a monitor then, because I turned all my brightness settings up and I still didn't see any scanlines in dockscreenbackground2.bmp until I opened it up in mspaint and zoomed in 600%.
But I still can't see any hexagons no matter how low or high the brightness settings are, nor how much i zoom in on dockscreenbackground3.bmp.
Edit -- Correction, I am able to see the hexagons now, unfortunately the graphics settings used to be able to do this also make black look grey. So to be honest.. if you have to do this just to be able to see them, maybe you shouldn't have put them up.
