Bokasha made a mod with various colored sapphire ships and posted it on the UTF.
It would be nice to have <ImageVariants> working for ships also, in order to have random generated colored ships ingame.
Make <ImageVariants> works for ships also ?

interesting idea, I like it.
Allowing paint jobs or even varying ship to ship in small ways would add alot to the idea that most ships are privately owned plus would give another thing to spend credits on.

Hi all,
Just was trying to make that : had a single freighter that I customized with several paint schemes, and tried <ImageVariants> just as it is used on planets. Alas, wouldn't work, and I searched the forum and resurrected this thread. Please, George, it's one apparently simple thing that could add much life to the game !
