Aeonic's Ship Gallery
I have an idea for a ship mod I could do for fun and maybe enter into that competition thingy. Could you model a toaster ship for me (with the toast slots facing forward), and toast missiles?
[schilcote] It doesn't have to be good, it just has to not be "wow is that the only thing you could think of" bad

Hey schilcote, ever seen the "Flying Toaster" screensaver of the 1980's - 1990's? It used to come standard with early Windows editions, though now there is a version on www.downloads.cnet.com for the MAC OS. Your request rather reminded me of it...

Also, I didn't mean to imply that your models weren't top-notch, because, they definitely are. They just need better textures!Wolfy wrote:Wolfen? No, the centurion! It is a piece of art however.
I know the wolfen like the back of my hand, since I've stared at it for so long while making the mk II.
Anyways, Aeonic IS a better modeler overall, especially since he uses textures, and I'm too lazy to make [and too inept in that part also] and put textures on

Here's a concept model for a Ringer Battle Pod. I figure the Teratons already have a monopoly on the whole sphere thing, so I'm trying to give the Ringers a different look.
Of course, you have to realize the actual ship is currently displayed in a 30x30 box. Its a tiny little thing - you don't get to see all the details!

Last Cause Of Death: Destroyed by Karl Svalbard's last Lucifer missile, right after I blew him up. And the crowd cheers.

Is there any way to replace the default Ship's Interior picture?Periculi wrote:You know you can display the larger picture in a dockscreen - just need to make a reason to do so.

You can also look into using the <Display> element of a DockScreen. There you can have a function that returns a list describing the image you want to show, depending on the ship the player is using.Aeonic wrote:Is there any way to replace the default Ship's Interior picture?
You can also include your own version of &dsShipInterior; with every playership mod you make, thereby making every ships interior unique. The way to do that is to make a resource of the background picture you want, and use the UNID in the backgroundID attribute of the dockscreen.
Do note however, that your mod would not be the only one overriding that screen, so your mileage would vary.
