Shields in 1.0RC1 have very different damage adjustment percentages from 0.99x.

Here you can find the new table for shields:
http://wiki.neurohack.com/transcendence ... ves_1.0rc1

To get the values faster, I made a little mod.
You get a ship with a 1000 hp level I shield and 2 orbs.
the first orb is used to regen the shield.
the second orb spawns a station that shoots 16 different weapons 100hp each one for each damagetype using a timer. There are also 16 beacons and 16 navsigns with the name of each beam at 60 ls around the main station.

To change shield, just type in the console
(itshield1)...(itshield25)
to get the shield with the desired level.

Here there is the mod:
it contains also a xlsx and txt versions of the table.

Nice job, the new data explains why all the shields seem to be much weaker, because they are!

While this makes the lower damage type weapons more competitive in the mid/late game, the shields may need some tweaking.

These tables make shields and armor a royal pain in the @#$@# to try and balance. Sheesh. Ever wonder why nobody ever submits normal sets of custom shields or armor to Xelerus?

i'm planning a set of shields for WE3, but it's going to take a while.
To do balancing I'm probably going to use Excel.
If my excel tables come out looking nice, I'll share them.

I'm trying to do it with Excel already and that's why the damage adjustment tables are such a pain because there's no easy way to include those adjustments into a spreadsheet that I am aware of.

Shield adjustments tables extracted from 1.01 ! :D

(I believe that they are the same from a few versions, not sure which RCx, however I extracted the data from 1.01)
