Although its been about 12 to 14 hours, I've noticed an extremely large drop in spambot registration since I blocked out the email addresses of a number of commonly seen ones, such as all the *@mail.ru
It seems to be working wonderfully! Instead of having up to about 24 bots registering per day, we've had only... 6? so far today, and a number of them were in before I blocked out the email addresses.
So I think I'm going to make a note here.
Huge Success.
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

What about all the other quality unassured overseas pharmaceuticals? Also, what about the hot young [new "slang"* term for girls that has been devised solely for the purpose of getting by automated filters]? Where will we get our dubiously legal prawns? And what about the pirated and spyware, virus, and rootkit ridden software? There's more to spam than erectile disfunction.
* not real slang. Real slang is developed by the slang using population. "Slang" is developed by advertisers who don't want to use the actual name of their product.
