Stupidest early game death.
Sold my starting equipment for a bit of cash and bought two roms and two unidentified barrels to test out.

Now why would you do a silly thing like buying unidentified barres? Level 1 barrels are a rip-off. I only go for level 5 or higher.
Roms, well you're forced to put up with the risk of those stupid damaged enhancement roms which damage your stuff. >:( because of the targeting program rom which is hidden there and you are not gauranteed one if you are willing to sacrifice a trading outpost's order ability for one.

My first game once I kinda knew what I was doing. Stuck in a system before Rigel (low cash, fuel, inefficient exploration coupled with general lack of know-how), I blew up a hotel thinking it would have supplies. Gotha missiles hurt.

Once when I was bored and had just installed GOD Mod for the first time, I had a NAMI Mine launcher on my ship...with standard armor and shields.

I was using the scuttle mod and didn't realize it when i first used that you could do some serious damage to your ship. Well I destroyed one of the Charon pirate frigate and was going to scuttle it. Little did I realize I was docked right over it and with damage and shields down from the fight with the frigate. I blew my ship up when I scuttled it. Never made that mistake again!
Well, recently I learned that my game was running at half-speed. I didn't realize it until I timed my shield regen rate and it took twice as long as it was supposed to. When I figured out why (my color was set to 32, I changed to 16) I started a new game, and to my surprise I couldn't control my Wolfen anymore. It was like driving a stock car on an ice field. Arco toasted me in seconds.
For Sale: One slightly used EI500 freighter. Hull damaged, primary weapon defective, shields inoperable. Must be towed to Dry-dock. Make an offer!!
Fantastic game. Omni Turbolaser (+fast +75%) lots of good stations and items. Then in the fifth system getting contaminated after a tough fight. I calculate the thext CW station and come to the conclusion that I can make it. I fire up the thrusters and head to the gate.
The CW station shows up 8 seconds before death.
Hitting d

The "No docking ports available" flashes up
6 seconds
panic
5 seconds
I start shoting a docked ship it dosn't flee
4 seconds
again panic but suddenly a ship on the portside leaves
3 seconds
I hit the thrusters with everything I got
2 seconds
I hit d and manage to dock with the station 2 seconds(!) before death!
The station wants 250 credits to decontaminate my ship
But the screen dosn't offer the decontamination button.
My eyes flash up to the credit count.
My eyes get to see a devastating 238 credits.
I undocked and 1.5 seconds later died a death through radiation only because missing the value of not even 2 tanks of frozen water.
The CW station shows up 8 seconds before death.

Dumbest death for me was when I was on the last mission for shipping company to wipe out the pirate stronghold. While passing by a black market I pressed spacebar by accident and shot one of those docked ships.
Oh the rape... the whole fleet vaporized
And yeah omni turbo lasers are awesome! Either that or upgraded omni particle cannons. Speed of the projectile makes dodging it impossible.

So I spawned via godmod, a CSC & an ares carrier, which spawn to either side of me.

Well when I first starting playing Transcendence I had no idea what the plot or anything was all I knew was their was a weird spinny thing you were supposed to go through and red meant bad. So Stayed in Endari till Korolv ran out and then I managed on level 2 weapons to get to the first Militia Station. Then I died.
