The damn shield has 2000 hp and 3000\sec recharge! I know cuz I had one b4.
I'm on a mission for CSC India. It said to take a fleet of Brits with me and attack an unknown threat. I can't kill it! Am I screwed? I won't be able to finish nothing now will I?
I think it comes from the Weapons Extended 3 mod I have currently.
Phobos Dreadnaught has a electromagnetic shield! Unkillable!
In standard, Phobos uses the Kaidun shield, which has 800 hp and relatively slow regeneration (that is slightly faster than a Mammoth 100MW).
If you have Circle of Wrath and Shatter, use them both. You will likely shatter the Phobos this way (so no loot), but if you need to finish a mission and cannot kill the Phobos any other way, go for it. Use Defend if you need to get closer without taking damage.

The electromagnetic shield generator is indestructible so even if I used those powers it wouldn't phase it bcuz the regen rate is 1000 hp more than the shield is.

So far's I know there are only four things that will get through a shield with stats like that. 3 if it's over level 10.BlakeG228 wrote:This sucks rhinoceros balls!
Gem of Sacrifice: There's only one, and it requires rescuing the Antarctica, which conflicts with CSC missions. You can't get the rewards for both. It will also drop your shields and your armor to 1hp all around.
TM4 Mistletoe: part of a mod. Will drop any shield, but will also drop yours.
Hoedhr contra-terrene lance: part of a mod. Getting it requires a fetch quest for Iocrym equipment. It will bypass shields at a rate negatively proportional to their level. Does not bypass level 25 shields.
Breacher cannon (and variants): part of a mod. Bypasses shields in negative proportion to their level, doing nothing to level 11 shields. Probably won't damage something as high level as massive tharsis through anything above level 8, maybe 9.
So you can pretty much throw away your current game. It's hopeless for you. Even if you bypass the fleet missions you'll eventually run up against invincible Iocrym sentinels, and then nothing will stop them from destroying all the research stations and the game will refuse to generate more for you to farm for the backup win condition if you fail to save enough research stations.

how about you not use godmods instead? (randomizer in WE3 is quite nice)

The only way to save your game is to use the debug conole, target the indestructable ship and use:
In the future, when you use WE3 you must be careful of what other mods you have installed. I ran into that problem as well, having some WIP shields then finding hornets and zulus with a shield with godlike regen is not fun.

you cannot remove mods from a game in progress, the savegame will look for it and it won't run anymore.So if I want to continue to use WE3 can I just take the randomizer part out of the EXTENSIONS folder?
