Ringers a collective mind? or is that just a title?

I was wondering if the 'collective' in their name referred to being a collective mind or.. something.

I was wondering if the 'collective' in their name referred to being a collective mind or.. something.

I always assumed it was the name of their overall organization, like the Commonwealth or Sung Empire. In the points in the game where the player meets Ringers, the Ringers appear to be individuals, though I suppose it could be said that they can behave like individuals despite having one mind.

A collective is a bunch of small producers sharing non-scaling costs. It's similar to a credit union, but for producers instead of investors.
