Sometimes I go for permadeath but self-destruct in the first system if I can't find an Extra-Special-Rare-Awesome-Item (usually solar armor or 4+ segments of heavy meteorsteel).

That won't stop you from playing... You didn't actually "die" although the game will think you died but I would just "resurrect" in the system where your computer crashed.Lmoy wrote:Well, last game I played I had Honoured Permadeath right up to the system before Heretic. Then my computer crashed. D:

Yeah, you annoyingly lose the no-permadeath status, but that has been fixed in 1.04+ (hopefully) where the crash-game is saved separately and original savegame is left intact from the last gate.josh19967 wrote:That won't stop you from playing... If I play using the stock ships, the it is a toss up between the Charon Pirates, while in the Charon System, the Ares Ascendancy, and the Ranx destroyers. The Ares and Ranx victories vary depending on what reactor and weapons I use; however, the Ranx destroyers are more successful due to their armor, and thermal weapons.
