I just switched the default style to this one (thanks to alterecco).
I'm not entirely sure that I like it, but it is better than the vanilla one.
Still, if anyone has any suggestions I would be happy to upload a few more styles so that we can try them out.

Oops! Sorry. But why are we all supposed to use one thread? [Just curious]ThePrivateer wrote:George, I just made a new thread that everyone is supposed to use....you posted too early!

As ttech mentioned before, Wolfy is making lots of different threads for many different things. It clutters the forum and is a nightmare to bounce between different threads to make comments on topics that are, essentially related.
I just try to make the forum a better place.

They were different enough.
Anyways, I still seem to have the default theme enabled. I think that in order for people to see the changes, it has to be pushed from the ACP.

Yep, it has to be manually enabled otherwise...
Anyways, seeing as the default group colors and the tinker group color I picked earlier are a bit... well, they make it a veritable rainbow XD
I'll work on creating something a bit less, mismatched. Also I'll just remove the old moderator group, because it uses the old color, which can be somewhat confusing, and is superceded by the new built-in global moderator group.

Nice to have some themes to choose between. Did you not like the Hermes one?
In any case, I must say i vastly prefer the layout of the subsilver theme to the others. It places more of the relevant links in the top (like "View unread posts") and also the left alignment of author in the threads seems more natural.
Perhaps we can find or create a nice dark theme from it?

I must say i like Hermes, but it could use a wee bit more colour and contrast i guess. But the links in the top bar are great, and it seems to be a clean base to work from. I cast my vote for Hermes.
If we need any css work i would be glad to provide some too...

Hermes is up, in case anyone wants to try it.
The only thing I don't like about it is that it has too many lines. It looks like boxes within boxes. But that could easily be fixed with CSS.

I'm using Hermes right now, it looks very good, including the Transcendence title picture at the top!Hermes is up, in case anyone wants to try it.

I agree, also it doesn't cope very well with the Firefox zoom feature. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has too many lines. It looks like boxes within boxes.
In any case, it's my default style.

Ummm, should we go with CA black or Hermes grey as the default guest user theme?
I'll set it to CA black for now, as CA black is set as the board's default.
