I increased the number of chars in the signature to 400.
I also restricted the height of an image in the signature to 35 pixels

35 pixels? That's pathetically small.

Bumped to 900x150 image size, as 150 is about as bit as a plain-text signature with multiple lines (I think mine is actually 200px), I think up to a size of 200 in height is fine, nothing beyond 250.
Upped char limit to a nice round 512 (round in binary!), and on restrospect, it should have been 511, which I will fix momentarily.

Also I put a limit on smilies, which I think is much more important, and set that at 5.

I think i will soon disable signatures in my display settings. It's nice that we have a board that allows that :)

Annoying flashing or animated sigs should not be allowed though

Has the URL limit increased, or just the character limit?
