The old Unofficial Transcendence Forums have long outlived their usefulness, and other than wolfy herding the occasional newbie back in the right direction, there's no activity. I'd like to put up an announcement and redirect link to these boards, and then turn off posting and registration entirely (leaving them in read-only form, essentially). Is there any specific information that the management here wants included in the announcement? Or any objections, for that matter?

Yep. In light of that other thread, I've gone ahead and locked things up. All the old stuff's still there, though, if anybody still wants it.
