What do you guys use, when in a dockscreen? Do you use the keys, or do you use the mouse (in which case you get the pretty highlighted options).
Just interested to see what people use.
Personally, I use the keyboard all the time, for speed purposes - I'm guessing this will be the general consensus, but still, I wanted to know.
Mouse or Keyboard?

keyboard; I personally get annoyed with text-field ones as they disrupt normal keyboard use

I use the mouse; I use a laptop, so its really no different to use the keys or the mouse, and I've used mouse forever. Mostly because I thought the colored letters were just there to get your attention for the first few systems of my first game.

all keys
It's so much faster. I don't even think about it or look at what the action key is now it's nearly second nature.
The 'U' key was the first to be worn out on my laptop

I've memorised the keyboard controls too - its just like games like Nethack, which is what Trans is designed off of. Except, y'know, there's a whole let less commands...and you don't need to have the README open to sort through all the commands just to work out how to change your weapon. >.> (people who play roguelikes will understand what I mean)Ttech wrote:Chase wrote:I generally use both mouse and keyboard. exactly the reason I love it so much, is the ability to have simimle controls.ThePrivateer wrote:I've memorised the keyboard controls too - its just like games like Nethack, which is what Trans is designed off of. I've used the JKL keys ever since I broke my arm and had to play one handed so I never switch to the mouse.

BTW, Welcome to the Forums!
on the subject of the JKL keys, it is rather useful because "L" is for loot, so that's one less key you have to find on the keyboard!

Thanks!
@ThePrivateer: Thank you, however once I found that I could play one handed I was pretty psyched.
Yeah, plus since my fingers are already in keyboard position it's easy to hit all the keys pretty fast.
