I know you've got a few different tricks, mazes, etc going on, but is it intentional that I can go through a stargate and find that, on the other side, the same gate goes somewhere else? So far it hasn't been a crippling thing, but at best I've had to go through three or four systems until I found a link that could get me back to a system I'd visited.

i saw the system code you were making for that :D

but if you are wanting to make a wall (like the battle arena) i would recommend using the walls from alterecco's battle zone walls, i found a way to make them really easy to shape into a building, by putting a dot in the center of the of the wall bit and a number relating to the rotation of the segment, copy and paste the wall segments into a image editor (like paint.net or gimp) then all you have to do it find the cords of the red dot (should be 100x100 200x100 200x200 etc) and the number of the image variant

not quite sure what you mean by "cords" but thanks. I don't really need a complicated maze, just a square, more for show than function.

cords = coordinates (x y offset form main station)

and the maze was something i was working on, i gave it as an example for the red dots (xy offset) and numbers (image variants) of the wall segments

the issue with the vanilla wall images is you cant do a real square because in has no right angles

I just uploaded to Xelerus. It removed my nice tags I had on it, so could someone put those back on?

Anyway, I added New Alcatraz, where you can help a poor, unfairly imprisoned Korolov escort captain.
I also did a careful survey of my code and fixed several topology issues. And I updated my screenshot, which looks like this:

As you see it no longer has 3 networks in one area. Also, all the lines are neat, even(ish) and it doesn't have any random lines crossing evverywhere (from my topology fixes)

Also, special thanks to Altercco for G.O.D without which it would have taken me days to do what I just did in 1/2 hour.

also you could shut the doors so i have to fight the guards (and dont just run out the door up to the top and get them stuck in the wall. :D

and you might want to cut back a bit on them there are lots

oh and maybe add more of them around the system with partoling ships flying between them and a few police stations with ships that fly out at you when you pass with the "escaped wingman"

Yeah, my original plan was to have the player have to kill a shield generator to escape the prison, but I couldn't get the scripting on it to work. I'll probably try to get it to work on my next update

few more thoughts i just had..

Korolov dont arrest for piracy

if he couldnt pay the fine his ship would be impounded (there for he wouldnt be able to fly away with you

i think you should have him sneak into your ship (or you could bail him out for ~1000-2000 crds) (after you talk to him) then make the player fly to the impound lot in the same system, here they could "buy the ship back for ~5000-10000 crds (since its impounded the commonwealth would be paying the impound lot to hold it until a buyer is found) or have them steal it (yeah, we have to have some fun :D ) (i suggest having quite a few ships for sale there (you could set out a bunch of custom nav-beacons that the ship are sitting on so the player can dock with them to "look around the ship" :D (i would think you could make a list of ships (like the ones in the battle arena) so that it appears to be random (you could sysfind the ships on the nav-beacons on the main station to make a list of ships for sale (like the choose a person the fight thing) that way you could buy a ship to use as a AI wingman (eg prophets ship buying mod) that the player could switch to (this would have to be done before Trent steals his ship back))))

an Inpound lot wouldn't be that hard actually. Just have a small station spawn a ship with a random graphic, random weapons/shields.
