Significance of Sanctuary's Green Sun

The reason people think atomic things invariably glow: Zinc Sulfide (which was used along with radium or tritium-compounds in watch dials for a long time), and also the rather interesting thing called Cherenkov radiation...which is the "Sonic boom of light" that wolfy refers to.

Neither of which explains a green sun, sadly.

Speaking of stuff on the main site: There's still links to the UTF on the main Transcendence website. Those should probably get removed/ have a "Read only archive" thing put on them.

Apparently our eye structure would not allow us (unaltered genetic state) to see the green in the blue-green wavelength of a star. h[url]ttp://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/2008/07/29/why-are-there-no-green-stars/[/url]

So, even if it was an artificial star, it would not look green to our eyes.

It must be something else...............

What if it is a secret Domina base with a huge sustain around it? The star appears green because the star is green, and yellow+blue=green.

Interesting thought, you actually might have just thought of something interesting there. Maybe Domina is tinkering with something Solar Powered. And if that is the case could Domina be using the son as some kind of transport? Wormhole?

Perhaps like a monitoring station? Domina or Oracus or whoever has a secret base there and is watching to see if humans are able to break the quarantine.

So perhaps it's where Oracus is imprisoned by Domina? The Iocrym said that Oracus is trapped in the QZ, so maybe that's where he is.

Indeed that is very possible, though I'd hate to be trapped in a sun, its a bit too hot for my tastes.
