I discovered a Teraton nest with a really neat weapon i wanted but couldnt afford.
this is what i did to get that weapon-
I discovered the weapon at a system just before Heretic.
1.)I went back to the first system where the first teraton nest appeared.( there were three in the system)
2.)I used my mark V to destroy the first nest and looted all items ( use mules and keep them at a safe distance while collecting loot).
3) I sold the items to the second nest and collected the rin
4)I destroyed the second nest and re-looted my sold products along with additional loot ( thus keeping my original loot as well as their price in rin)
5)I repeated the process for the third nest getting same results.
6) After that i carefully took my mules to the nest system and sold all products of the last three nests to the first nest in that system and repeated the process for all other nests. (its good to keep atleast 6 mules in handy and release each one after the other is fully loaded)
7) repeat process and cleanse all systems of teraton nests and keep selling-looting-reselling-relooting-reselling- again and again until only the last teraton nest-where your favorite weapon is stored- remains.
8)Sell all items to this last nest (remember to fabricate (during the previous steps)as well because it often leads to products of more rin value).
9)Buy your weapon and its accessories and finally destroy it and loot it of whatever it had left. most of the loot can be sold to the BMs or Ringers while some weapons can be sold to Taikons.
10)Ask if confused about anything.
11) Good hunting!
The best way to get ahead.

I think it's the best use for Teratons, really.

I have never thought of that.......
I am glad that you posted this 'cause I never destroy friendly stations......but now I will.
For Sale: One slightly used EI500 freighter. Hull damaged, primary weapon defective, shields inoperable. Must be towed to Dry-dock. Make an offer!!
Ferian Colonies, and all their little peons, are another decent source of Rins. Just make sure you're equipped to deal with the warriors that spawn.IceMephit wrote:I am glad that you posted this 'cause I never destroy friendly stations......but now I will.

You can even farm the ferian warriors. Just shoot miners till a warrior comes out. Hide on a planet. The warriors keep coming as long as one warrior is out and you're close enough. After ~4 come out, they start dieing from friendly fire. Make sure your shields are good, then loot the wreck. Go back to the planet. I died a few times doing this, but I get rich.Lokasenna wrote: Ferian Colonies, and all their little peons, are another decent source of Rins. My personal favorite weapon for farming teratons is the ion lancer; no recoil, and it easily outranges the defenses while being useful at station busting (because it repeats)

I always just blow up one or two teraton stations. (Never enough cargo space to hold all their loot, it seems.) As for Ferians, I mass-Genocide them as soon as I am powerful enough, being Practically an infinite source of rins.
...on a side note, I once encountered a Teraton station that ws stocking 4x Heavy Iocrym plate. not the standard plate, HEAVY IOCRYM PLATE. ... has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

Its very rare to get, and its only useful on the freighter.

But the Iocrym only equip their command ships with them, and the only ships in the QZ that could concievably destroy an ICS are xenophobe worldships or arks. Neither of which would be overly willing to put the looted armour plates on the market...

It's possible that the Iocrym left some behind when they started the QZ, similar to humans leaving armor in floating cargo containers.

Possible, but it seems unlikely.
"Hey guys? What do you want me to do with this 15 ton, super-advanced armor plate?"
"Just toss it anywhere, it's not like we need it or anything."
"How about in the middle of a potential enemy's territory, where they do not yet have access to this kind of technology?"
"Sounds good to me!"

I saw heavy Iocrym plate in a Teraton shop once. Teratons can spawn level XII stuff, but that happens rarely.
