Morning Star in the first. 12 tons of pteracnium ore in the second system. I am sure there are others but reading these posts begs the question. Do the mods you have installed affect your vanilla game loot?

Ricewind: Mods would affect loot if they override something and change the frequency of the item.

It's possible to see level 4 items in station loot in Eridani, and I don't think any mods change the loot in either of the hostile stations that appear there so it's very probably not mod related.

v105 I found a Shuriken Neutron blaster on the 2nd star system (Indi5). I enhanced it with a speed loader and that took me all the way to Point Juno!!!!!

Found Nova-50 in Eridani and 1 systems before Rigel and Nova-100 1 system before Rigel (in Anarchist gathering no less)...talk about saving money!

Early reactors, and st.k bushidos w/ carbide carapace (its rather mediocre armor for its level, but early on its better than just about anything else given its very high resists.

With the Micro Factory Module mod downloaded, I found one early on and one early mid game and one mid-late in game...and sold them all for 85000 a piece.

Although not hugely high level pentinent (is that how you say it I forgot?) cannon in asteroid base wreck. It was undamaged and in other games I never seem to find them undamaged. Also sung armor at another asteroid station I think.

That was in the 3rd system XD...

5-9 Centaur Rice in every Centaur station(Litterly found more then 200 Barrels in the first 5 system(I felt weird))

I remember those high drops in older versions of the game but not newer ones.

LOL I love to do this: farm the cruisers : find one station near a Ringer and just let off a few shots to draw them to their doom so I can loot everything

of course, it not all roses : the station has it's guards but the Ventari have a wandering cruiser that can often "wander" over to help try to kill you......nosey critters.........

I found a beryllium alien weapon (level 7) either in Charon or right before that. I'm using Weapons Extended so I thought that might have been the cause, but I haven't seen anything higher than level 4 until I hit St.K. Then I found five segments of carbide carapace in St.K which has helped offset the crappiness of my shield.
