Okay, I've got tons of mods in my Extensions folder and I'm proud to say that I love the way they all interact, even when they unintentionally do something wrong. :D
Anyways, I'm doing a Dynamic Systems + Network + WE4 + Tech Analyzer + Fellow Pilgrims +Baddies + Banks + Encounter Expansion +PlayerDrones v3 permadeath game.

The game itself was horrible, I had started to hate my mods again. First was Baddies- I kept on losing credits and the items in my cargo hold such that I was never able to get past 2000 credits before another pirate came and stole my well earned cash and loot. :evil: Second was Dynamic Systems. Since Baddies had been a huge drain on my funds, I was still equipped with the Sapphire's basic loadout. It's not very good for fighting, so I had held off killing stations for fear of their retaliation fleets and the horror of meeting both a retaliation fleet and a credit stealing pirate at the same time.

So there I was, cruising along in my Sapphire in the Nottingham system, one system from Starton Eridani when all of a sudden I get hit -repeatedly- by some laser turret. I've usually encountered several bad things when things start to target me (I've lost several thousand credits to pirates :evil: ). So what do I do? RUN AWAY!
I ran away to the nearest friendly station. It was one of those run of the mill armor dealers that sold weapons for a ridiculous price, considering I didn't even know what I was buying. I had already chanced 2000 credits on a laser weapon named "Gundam" and what did I get? A capacitor laser cannon :/ To the southwest of the Armor dealer was an Orbital Ring station, which had several ships docked, and a few Centurions, so I had hoped that they would deal with this dire threat.

As I was hiding on the armor dealer, I had remembered that there was another runthrough where Starton Eridani got blown for reasons unknown- I had always assumed that that kind of laser turret, with all it spamminess, did 1% damage and 10 shots per second, so it would take around 10 seconds of direct fire for an early level station to blow. I decided to play safe and hide on the armor dealer, remembering to press I, and my trigger finger getting ready to press on A. Suddenly, an area weapon of a cyan color appeared.

At first, I was astounded. Area weapons don't appear in systems this early. Where did it come from? I think I had only 3 seconds to decide before it hit me as well, when my instincts kicked in and I invoked Domina on impulse. Lo and behold, I saw a message on my screen- "Security Alert! Deploy Corporate Enforcer!" as the shattered remains of the Orbital Ring Station flew past the wreck of the armor dealer. Seizing this opportunity, I raided the armor dealer, with all of its unknown weapons, and came to a realization: the cyan weapon was a Domina power, invoked by a ship from the Pilgrims mod! D:

I did not have the luck to have a targeting rom installed, so I could not check the name of the suspected Pilgrim that shattered an Orbital Ring Station and destroyed an armor dealer, but I at least have him/her to thank for my well being. (Credit-wise, anyways, stealing is still bad!)

Since mods always interact in strange and new ways, I have now gained a new appreciation for all those modders out there, keep up the good work :D

:D :D :D Also try adding the TSB release Wolfy did. The new sovs add some nice new challenges. Ever see ~10 pilgrims try to take out an Ansabi(?) Metropolis? Great fun.

P.S speaking of mods doing unexpected things, I found out that often for an unknown reason pilgrims will band together in attacking a station or powerful ship. Which is fun to see in the Network Sung battle systems.

I don't think the fellow pilgrims mod is the cause, I've had the same thing happen but don't have that mod installed. I've got a ton of mods as well, some of them are also in the list of mods you listed so one of these is the likely culprit:
Network, WE4, Universal savings Bank, Encounter Expansion
Others that I have installed are mining charges, shrikes mines and missiles and newdevices by brunneng and a lot of smaller stuff.

It happened twice in my current game: In the first case starton eridani, greenwich industries and a medical facility were destroyed by one of the ships guarding the complex from hostile pirates. The weapon was, like you describe, a powerfull blue area of effect weapon that took out quite a few of the other nearby ships, and that stripped most of the armor from my ship. The loot from the stations more than made up for that minor discomfort. The ship kept firing the shockwave weapon at the pirates, causing more harm than good, sadly I don't remember the exact ship type. The second case happened offscreen, another commonwealth station was destroyed, the scene was littered with shipwrecks that had been docked there, I assume it must have been lost in a simmilar accident.

As the one who built the Pilgrim mod, I can say that that does happen in the pilgrims mod. 1/9 pilgrims is able to shatter. And they come at any level.

It's very similar to a Domina power, so this may be the culprit. It even has WMD7, which may explain why the defender is also destroying the home station.....

holy Domina!!!!!!!! not even I would have gone that heavy......no wonder pilgrims scare people :)

It's not Laika's culprit though. It's a slightly greenish off-white. Nothing that would be described as blue. Laika almost certainly encountered Shatter.

Ok, tested out the "Verloren Hoop shield" and this is what happened (after Trans crashed like 5 times :P )

So yeah, Laika if that's the color then I think the shield is our culprit.

It wasn't a problem with WE3. I'd blame either DynSys or the new freighters in WE4 because with the vanilla ship tables nothing gets it that hangs around stations, just reasonably fast guardships that intercept far enough from the station to not fratricide it.

I'll try to remember to put a friendly station check in it next time I update, but that won't be soon.
