While fishing for mod ideas, I came across some code in the 1.06a XML that I'd never paid attention to or never noticed:

- At the CSC Hospitals, there was an option in the infirmary to talk to a patient.
- Huari Fortress missions (outside the Huaramarca system) included Rescue Priest and Medicine Mission.
- The Battle Arena had an option to buy a ticket to watch a match.
- There are unused graphics and unused ENTITYs, such as scOrion and scEmpress, and the unused Centauri ships.

Besides these, what other disabled content are you aware of? I'm thinking primarily of code that's still present but unused.

There's the Mikeno-class destroyer (scMikeno) that looks like a big version of the Sotho;
There's also an unused Domina power, I can't remember the exact name, but the name is a synonym for "future sight".

Correct, forgot about the Mikeno destroyer. I have a mod that makes it show up occasionally and I forget that it's not stock.

Missing Domina power is "Prescience".

What else is hiding in there?

There is a whole bunch of commented stuff in the Eridani system, there for testing. It is quite fun to play with.

Right, all the DEBUG-only stations. I think 1.06a deleted the Debug Station itself, though.

Also remembered the EI100/M Missile Ship variant of the EI100. Doesn't seem to appear anywhere in the game - not in any table or listed with any station.

What else can we dig up?

Well I was browsing thru Transcendence Source and checked on the graphics(CW stations, Corporate,etc...) and a I saw along side the familiar Insurance structure is a building I think I saw before but I can't find any more. I think it's rarely being used by the program. Let me check if I can show it here.....

It's part of stations2.jpg. I searched all the XMLs and didn't find anything referencing rsStations2 at imageY="512", so I think this counts.

Good find! Wonder if there are more?

I had no idea about those hidden menus, disable at any rate. But the extra content I suspect is going to be used at some point to help complete the part 1 universe. :)

eric: yeah, that station isn't used at all :D Makes a nice bank though.
Try looking for &stAresRedoubt; :D
Look for &stWhiteDwarfStar; used in a star system.
Rowena's roms count as well, but most people know about them already :P

Also, I saw "Transcendence: The March of the Heretic" in pre-1.06 versions, I asked on IRC day if it was relevant to the plot and George said it might've been an old name for Part I or something. Makes you wonder who's side you're really playing for, huh? :shock:

There is also a hidden command that prints out pi. :) I'll let you guys wonder about that one.

I knew about the WhiteDwarf star because I was exploring Carbon planets and I remembered seeing it while doing systems.

Anyway: as for the station itself: i only seen it as a bank. and never before then

The Nami dealer: I now know that there was one in a Mod that i never met ( which is why I did one of my own , but they are very different which was the strangest thing about that.. )

the mysterious NAMI dealer........i still say " possible " , but still think there is a logical explanation :)

I know my Dealer Stations mod has a NAMI dealer (EI dealer too, and more). Maybe that was the one?

And back to the topic of disabled content, check the Penitents' Repentant-class gunship: it has the same Oracus HARASS power as the Penitent Shrine! Commented out, of course. Would be interesting to enable it on a variant ship, add one to every Penitent station, and give it "wander" orders.

LOL : in the Auviq I am working on a D&O and using those ships : but the reason they would have been disabled is that like pilgrim ships trying to use the device/ power as opposed to a shield, it would react to EVERY HIT, not simply react, so it was a Delay issue on the reaction that causes the need to disable. if you enable such a device ( and you need to add NoFriendlyFire ) you will wipe out everything.
the ships will be a threat to everybody and be Target #1 as soon a the device activates. Which could prevent them from being effective, especially if the device is triggered near a station they are guarding that can not resit the damage type.

That's crazy! :shock:
It would be nice to have those in Dynamic Systems.... :twisted:
But yeah, they would be epic deadly if equipped with that. :O
