How to upload a screenshot, photos and other images

There is something that I want to upload but then I realize there was no upload button. Please help me.

There's an option for uploading "attachments" underneath the posting box..next to the "Options" tab, there's the thing marked 'Upload Attachment'. That works for smaller stuff fairly well.

wait, why do we have file attaching on all boards? it was really meant for debug logs and xml files. pictures and the like should be uploaded to Photobucket, or places like that. services such as dropbox are good for large files. personally, I hate the upload sites that require you to wait some amount of time and restrict the bandwidth to stupidly low levels.

There are some threads here where images might be acceptable to upload - Transcendence Picture Thread for example.

But wouldn't it just be better to have images hosted off-site?

Yes it would.

He's talking about using a service like imgur or photobucket, imageshack, or dropbox and linking the image from there.
