I have searched on text and font sizes on the forum and have not found anything related to what I want to do.
First, I am running version 1.07 on Windows 7 64 bit Home Edition at 1920x1080 resolution on a 40 inch screen (my computer is connected to my TV, which I use as a monitor - most game are absolutely awesome on this big of a screen).
I run a custom 200% DPI setting in Windows to enlarge the font size. I sit about 8 feet away from the TV, so standard font sizes are near impossible to read at that distance. I often have to use the advanced compatibility mode which ignores custom DPI settings for some programs. I have enabled this option for Transcendence.exe in order to see the entire screen.
My first instinct told me to look in settings.xml... no luck.
Does anybody know how to modify the font size in the UI or is it hard coded in the executable file?
I saw a couple references in transcendence.xml, such as:
<Text left="198" top="4" width="90" font="HeaderBold" color="255,255,255" align="right">
gNeurohackWillpower
</Text>
The line font="HeaderBold" suggests that there is a cascading style sheet or some similar device at work here. Am I on the right track?
How do I change the user interface font size?

it is hard coded, sorry
also, welcome to the forums
you could set the screen to a smaller res when you want to play trans that should make it bigger on the screen
