....in your Trans vanilla game:
1. T1.05: There's no CSC Terra and just 2 Infirmary CSC's, therefore no Lamplighter and no Europa to loot 'coz you're just a master sargeant (the Antarctica guards kick you out then leaves the system)......
2. T1.06/1.07a: I'm on St.K and still no targetting ROM........
3. T1.05 : Game crashes when you blow up in St.K(happened to me twice with insurance).....
...and the worst thing I'm losing credits and rins faster than I can earn them.
...more to come....
What would YOU do if.......

1. Get any level 9-10 weapon. Actually, I think any level 8+ weapon besides the Ares lightning turret. You no longer need any particularly special weapon to beat the Iocrym.
2. Fish or cut bait. Either keep going and hope or start over and hope.
3. If it's repeatable submit a bug report and attach your save.

Literally is the new Figuratively
I would:
1. Get the IM90. It's nearly as good, and can shoot multiple targets, which is good for when the ICS decides to call in its buddies.
2. Order one from a trading post.
3. Panic and freak out. Also, I've never found a use for insurance, since it costs an insane amount of money, And can only be used once. Can't you just die and respawn?

1. Get IM90 and/or Fracture cannon via Teraton fabricator. I do this even if I can get Lamplighter or GoS. Lamplighter is weak compared to a +150% level X weapon.
2. In the middle of a game, order one from a Corporate trading post. (This hurts because it is one less longzhu that can be ordered.) For a new game? If EI500, start scum until one appears in the inventory. For other ships? Buy ROMs until you get it. If out of cash and no ROM yet, restart and try again.

THIS! If Transcendence enforced permadeath, insurance would have a use for the player. As it is, it is worse than useless because it replaces a more useful station spawn. Not to mention it hurts newbies by stealing their cash and wrecking games by autosaving on respawn. It is only good for explaining how Kate Sue survives if the player destroys her ship in Rigel.jimj316 wrote:Also, I've never found a use for insurance, since it costs an insane amount of money, And can only be used once. 1) lead them into the friendlies and harvest the wrecks, and celebrate while sitting in mounds of missiles and damaged turbolasers (Which can be converted by a tinker into dual turbos, which fetch a nice amount of cash, and aren't bad earlygame weapons either)
2) hope that it wasn't a friendly faction that will try to arrest you >.>

Huaramarca on Hurin destroyers: Hahaha. I didn't know that these Huari pilots are so sensitive to the point of attacking one another when they accidentally cross friendly fire from each other. Hahahaha.
On St. Kat's: In versions 1.06a & 1.07a, the price for a targetting ROM is higher than it would if in Eridani (but there's non in any system before St.K. though) .

If playership is paralyzed (by EMP), cargo gets jettisoned into multiple crates then scattered. If not paralyzed, then if playership is at range 3 or less from a stargate, the playership warps to Elysium. Otherwise, the playership jumps 500 light-seconds forward.

Unless you try firing it up during the cooldown.PM wrote:If playership is paralyzed (by EMP), cargo gets jettisoned into multiple crates then scattered. Don't do that, BTW. Really, don't.
