Succession Permadeath game on Dropbox

Ok, well I'm recuiting people to play a succession permadeath game. Right now I have WillyTheSquid and Solar Geo from IRC and possibly The_Shrike joining.

GOAL: To get to Heretic.
GOAL #2: To get to Heretic AND pass my permadeath challenge

Rules:
-It will be a mod lite game. One mod (as of now) is allowed. That is Captain's log so that players can write messages to each other about weapons/ore stashes and conducts like befriending the Huari or doing Dvalin missions.
-succession will be dealt with when I get a tally of people playing. Ideally, it should be a rotation, but will switch to one person per star if there's not enough. Same goes with the permadeath aspect of the game (if the Pilgrim dies then we keep going if we're past St. Kat's. If not, it might just end up being a restart).

If anybody wants an invite, post here, pm me, or catch me on IRC and ask to join.
Also, someone can all starting position if they want to

Any thoughts, interested people/ more rules to add?

EDIT* Start date should be around Monday-Wednesday of this week (PST)
EDIT-EDIT* Playership will probably be the Sapphire, but will be chosen by the first player unless there are any objections OR we might just get PM's playership drones mod.

I'm assuming he means standard DF succession fort style rules, but shrunk down to the appropriate timeframe.

Yeah, I was thinking that rotation would mean that a player could do more than one system/player. We might end up doing that if someone has more free time or we don't have enough people.
Can I have the schedules of all the people who want to participate? That would make it easier for us to get through to Heretic in a month, since 30 systems and one system per day should be doable.

What release of Transcendence will you be using? I'd be up for getting in on this after you pass St. K's. Weekends are better for me.

Hey, a tip: Be fast, shoot even faster, get out fast, if your shield fails keep firing until you get a "hull breach" warning than activate the power Sustain or just get out of there as fast as you can with the armor with more HP turned to your enemy....If you have a Targeting ROM installed just watch if your enemy is worst than you to decide if you keep firing or if is time to get out...

-How far is each player allowed to go?
-Savescumming: Yes or no?
-What amount of reporting on what happens is required, and how can it be done.
-Can I single handedly wipe out the hauri so we can try out the SSG?

Advance one system only (Aka clear them of enemies, mine, etc). Backtracks are allowed (to sell).

-How far is each player allowed to go?
As long as it takes to clear a system. It would preferably also would be within a timespan of a day (so that each system= 1 day)

I'm thinking each player could have a copy of their last game, but it's a perma, so it should be no.

basically take note of important, game changing things. Like losing a Targeting rom :/ (or wiping out the Huari >.>)

Sure, if no one else objects. I'm up for trying the SSG (but somebody else has to get the coils >.>).
