I remember a previous thread talking about this. One idea was that Oracus is pretending to be Domina, and has been for a while. The Ares say they were urged by Domina to start the Syrtian war. Also, we know that someone called Domina is also trying to destroy the QZ. And that someone called Domina is trying to stop all this. My theory: Oracus is pretending to be Domina, to destroy the humans- first in a massive war, then by blowing up a huge star. Always be tricking a group of people into thinking they are following Domina. And the real Domina is trying to use pilgrims to break the Quarantine and stop Oracus. Of course, that could be reversed, and Domina is the one trying to kill everyone, and Oracus is good.

While I am not familiar with this feature of the war, it was before my release from the stasis tank into the current universe ; I remind you that Gods and Goddess' evolve with their creations in the multi-faceted natures of the universe.

It was once argued that the Divine evolves because of their creations : which leads to the argument that we created our own Divine in the images we chose ;
However, as with Domina we can observe that this is not correct because the Divine evolves with the universe and not separate of it.

IF Oracus has been held captive for over 300 million years " asleep" .....then the time line for the war you speak of would be relevant to the question of " Was Oracus a deceiver to the Ares or was it in fact domina driving a wedge in the races because she thought the Ares represented the most viable weapon against Oracus at the time? "

I don't remember if this was specifically the case, but it does make sense, that Oracus would pretend to be Domina and the Ares kinda took that to be true and went with them and insane.

@onyhowYeah that was my initial reaction when "Apotamo stared in horror" as he spoke of this. A real big question popped out. Who's screwing who.

I wanted a more thorough explanation to this but the principle of yinyang in my opinion can never be broken unless, like you guys have mentioned there's really a deception at play, highlighted in my deduction, when the Ares came in to the picture.

My other question is how come if Oracus was a banished nemesis of Domina, where does his followers get powers?

just as Domina provides from her throne to followers, it is supposed that Oracus is able to, but dimly. you do not see the shrines use much for powers as they do weapons so basically we can suppose Oracus is less able to power the followers with very much more then faith.

Really? I mean continuous flow effect not the usual single flash when invoked? Nice.

It's a virtual weapon. Technically, you still could, but you can't see it in any screen that shows what is on your ship.

Badly , sadly I got started on the re-write of the Auviq and this topic figured in so much that it started a insane dash to bring Domina and Oracus out into the game more : http://www.neurohack.com/transcendence/ ... f=5&t=4516

this led to questions and thinking that i fear went far beyond the part one, but the result is strictly part one story: anything that is possible for part 2 that might have been tripped over was pure accident and nothing to do with part 2 or the actual characters of Domina and Oracus.

After successfully hacking the Iocrym Archive, some of my questions were answered but.......

This went into the " Controversial Moment : The Auviq " adventure I did : there are a long and drawn out convoluted posts about this subject as to Domina and Oracus : If you did not get the Auviq while it was up : sorry, Charlie ....

Anyway, the end the taking of the story : from what I know of it and how it basically runs Part One is talked about : the Auviq never goes beyond the original story you find in the Archives but it becomes obvious : A) your not the only one heading to the core : B) you best arm up, its going to be one fun battle
